Fall 2024 Recreation Softball

Registration information for the 2024 Fall Season
 
Registrations available: 5U instructional league, 8U, 10U, 12U, 14u & Highschool

Age: Age is based on the player’s age on the last day of the year. For Fall 2024, it is based on the player’s age as of December 31, 2023. Please register your player for the appropriate age category based on this date. Players are allowed to play up a division, with parental permission and approval by the league.

Pitching:
5U- This league is instructional, teaching the fundamentals, will use tee and eventually coach pitch
8U - This league is coach slow-pitch, and work up to kid pitch.
10U, 12U, 14U and Highschool are player fast pitch.

Uniforms: Jerseys will be supplied for each player. We also provide game and practice balls, pitching machines for practices and we also have some helmets, bats and a limited number of gloves for those that need them,

Practices: Will be held 2x per week - with the days being selected by the coaches (with input from the parents)

Games: Double headers will be played on Saturdays beginning in September and continue for a total of 8 weeks (16 games) with half of those being played at Mayeski Park and half at other locations in Carroll County or Littlestown. Instructional league may not travel.

COACHES: We are looking for coaches at all levels, no experience necessary!! Please Volunteer!

MD Sting Tryouts for 2024 Fall and 2025 Summer


 
July 23, 25, 29 and 31: Tryouts for MD Sting Travel Softball each night will be from 6pm - 8pm at Mayeski Park - check in at the Pavilion between 5:30 and 6:00pm.
 
 
Register here for the upcoming MD Sting Tryouts. MD sting is a competitive travel fastpitch softball program including 10u, 12u, 14u, 16u & 18u. All players, including returning players must tryout to be able to join one of our teams. Adults interested in coaching or assisting in other ways can indicate this during the registration of your daughter or you can contact us at [email protected]. Registration for tryouts does not require any payment.
 
If you are interested in trying out but cannot make these dates, please register and then send us an email at [email protected] to discuss options. We also have a number of open practices than can be used to tryout for teams, again please register and email us.
